Professional Service & Responsibilities
As a Deputy County Administrator for Chesterfield County Government, Scott Zaremba oversees the departments of:
  • Cooperative Extension
  • General Services
  • Information Systems Technology
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Libraries
  • Risk Management
He also serves as liaison to the offices of the Circuit Court Clerk, Commonwealth's Attorney and Sheriff. Prior to being appointed Deputy, he served as Director of Human Resource Programs from December 2009 to September 2016, and as Assistant Director of Human Resources from November 1988 to November 2009.

Education & Awards
He has a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Syracuse University and a law degree from the University of Maryland. Scott has received six Achievement Awards from the National Association of Counties for innovative programs which contribute to and enhance county government in the United States.

Organization & Committee Memberships

Scott has served as Director and Chair of the Board of Directors for the Richmond Compensation Association and the Chesterfield Federal Credit Union. He is a graduate of the Senior Executive Institute at the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, University of Virginia, and Leadership Metro Richmond and is a member of the Virginia State Bar. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority, Henricus Foundation, Virginia Pooled OPEB Trust Fund and Petersburg Area Regional Tourism.
