  1. Board of Supervisors Budget Adoption

    Chesterfield County is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors elected by district. The Board of Supervisors appoints a county administrator who directs the County's day-to-day operations. For information regarding the duties of the Board of Supervisors, see the County Code of Ordinances.

    Unless otherwise specified:

    • Afternoon work sessions are held at the Administration Building, 9901 Lori Road, Room 502 (5th floor).
    • Evening meetings are held in the Chesterfield County Public Meeting Room, 10001 Iron Bridge Road.
    • Afternoon sessions break at 5 p.m. for dinner, and then resume at 6 p.m.

Cooperative Extension

  1. Uncontainable Joy of Container Gardening

    April 10, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Midlothian Library

    Container gardens are a great outlet for creativity in a small space. This presentation will include an overview of design elements including color themes for planning a combination pot. A Master Gardener will share tips on choosing an appropriate container and selecting complementary foliage and flowering plants. She will also demonstrate proper planting techniques. (Note: This will focus on non-edible annuals and perennials.)

    A community meeting has been scheduled for April 10, 2019 between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. in the Cosby High School Library located at 14300 Fox Club Parkway Midlothian, VA 23112. The purpose of this meeting is for the Planning Department to provide information and receive feedback related to the proposed Code Amendment Relative to Solar Energy (19PJ0112). This code amendment would, among other things, provide standards for facilities generating power from sunlight.

  1. Chesterfield Father Initiative

    Father Matters is a weekly group with the goal of providing fathers an opportunity to come together to talk about common issues that fathers face. We strive to support and empower fathers to pursue their goals and to be positively involved in the lives of their children and the community. There is no cost and sessions are open to all men who are, or expect to be, in a father role of any child (forever dad). Meetings are held Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at the Community Development Building (9800 Government Center Parkway, Chesterfield, VA 23832).
