  2. FCLC Chesterfield 101

    The Chesterfield County 101 program offers teens the opportunity to learn how Chesterfield County government works in a fun and interactive manner. This 1.5 hour session will cover who the Board of Supervisors are and what they do, why local government is important, the different types of departments within Chesterfield County and what they do, as well as how to become more involved. This course is the first step to completing the Future Community Leaders Certificate. For ages 12-17. Registration opens on October 5. Please visit the link to register.

  1. AFSP Out of Darkness Walk

    October 19, 2019, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Deep Run Park

    When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. Thanks to Walkers and Donors like you, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025. Online registration closes at noon (local time) the Friday before the walk. However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Registration is free and open to the public.
