Rev250 and BHM 2024: Getting to Know James Lafayette; Thea Paul Celebrates Black History Through Song

Thursday, February 1, 2024

Did he ask to be a spy, or was he asked to be a spy? Through historical reenactment, Stephen Seals of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation tells us the story of James Armistead Lafayette, an enslaved spy during the American Revolution. The opening act features lifelong educator Thea Paul singing her original composition, "The Black History Song." Registration begins Thursday, Jan. 18.

This event is part of the American Revolution 250th Commemoration and Black History Month 2024.
