Feb. 26, 2019

Police

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department, in partnership with the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office, Substance Abuse Free Environment (SAFE), and Chesterfield Emergency Response Team (CERT), will help community members safely dispose of expired and unneeded medications on Tuesday, March 5.

The police department will host a Medication Take-Back on March 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chesterfield County Police Community Services Building, located at 2730 Hicks Road. Chesterfield Police, Chesterfield Sheriff's Office, and volunteers will be on hand to collect unused or expired prescription, over-the-counter and veterinary medications. Residents should leave medications in their original containers. Needles, syringes and other "sharps" will not be accepted.

Turning in expired and unused medications helps prevent medication abuse and protects the environment.
