CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have arrested an adult female suspect in relation to the Jan. 5, 2019, robbery of the Wells Fargo bank branch at 5630 Hopkins Road in Chesterfield County.
Just before 9:45 a.m. on Jan. 5, a female suspect entered the bank and passed a note to a bank teller demanding money. Upon receiving cash, the suspect fled on foot. She did not display a weapon and there were no reported injuries at the bank.
After investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for robbery for Elizabeth A. Shelton, 29, of the 9100 block of Patterson Avenue in Henrico, in relation to the incident.
Chesterfield County Police, with assistance from the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI Richmond Central Virginia Violent Crimes Task Force, arrested Shelton without incident in Northumberland County on Jan. 15. She is currently being held at the Northern Neck Regional Jail.
