CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police Special Victims Detectives conducted an online chatting operation that resulted in the arrest of six suspects on a total of 19 charges last week.
During the operation on May 16, Special Victims and Vice and Narcotics detectives intercepted suspects who believed they were soliciting sex from minors through online and social media platforms. The suspects communicated with people they believed to be underage members of our community and arranged to meet them at a location to have sexual relations. When the suspects came to the location, they were met by police and arrested.
As a result of the May 16 operation, the following suspects were arrested and charged:
• Ivan R. Acosta, 44, of the 1100 block of Bundy Avenue in Richmond, was arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution with a minor, use of a vehicle to promote prostitution and frequenting a bawdy place;
• Hector E. Barahona Salguero, 34, of the 6600 block of Wimbledon Drive, was arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution with a minor, use of a vehicle to promote prostitution and frequenting a bawdy place;
• Ernest B. Christian III, 33, of the 6500 block of Balsam Road in Richmond, was arrested and charged with attempted solicitation of prostitution with a minor, use of a vehicle to promote prostitution and frequenting a bawdy place;
• Raun C. K. Hall Jr., 27, of the 14300 block of Santell Drive, was arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution with a minor and frequenting a bawdy place;
• Tarek M. Hezam, 36, of the 200 block of Route 1 in Richmond, was arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution with a minor, use of a vehicle to promote prostitution, frequenting a bawdy place, carrying a concealed weapon and brandishing a firearm; and
• Joseph F. Suarez, 33, of the 5800 block of Indigo Road in Richmond, was arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution with a minor, use of a vehicle to promote prostitution and frequenting a bawdy place.
