CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred in a driveway in the 6500 block of Walmsley Boulevard on April 23.
At about 6:15 p.m. on April 23, police received a report that an unknown vehicle ran over a child in a driveway and left the scene. The victim, a 3-year-old male, was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains hospitalized today.
At this point, the investigation indicates the suspect vehicle hit the child as it was leaving the property. Surveillance cameras captured images of two vehicles leaving around the time the crash occurred. One vehicle is described as a white Acura sedan, and the second is described as a silver or gray Nissan sedan. Surveillance photos of both vehicles are attached. Police are asking the drivers of these vehicles to contact police at 804-748-1251.
