The Chesterfield County Procurement Department is hosting the first Chesterfield Buyers/Sellers Connection Conference on Friday, June 2 at the Thomas R. Fulghum Center in Midlothian (13900 Hull Street Road).
The Buyers/Sellers Connection Conference will offer the opportunity for the vendor community to network with Chesterfield staff including those from both the county government and school division. Staff will be able to share their knowledge and experience of the procurement process with sellers, thereby providing resources, tools, and contacts sellers need in order to make connections.
“We are extremely excited about this unique opportunity to connect buyers and sellers,” said Procurement Director Stephanie Brown. “Our goal is to build successful relationships with vendors in our community and beyond. This conference is a collaborative effort that will benefit vendors, procurement staff, and various county and schools departments. This event will allow everyone a chance to meet, ask questions, and find out more information on the procurement process.”
In addition to networking and searching for opportunities within Chesterfield, vendors will have the opportunity to set up one-on-one appointments with procurement staff to talk about potentially working together now and in the future.
Registration for the event, which begins at 8:30 a.m., is free and open now through May 17. Refreshments will be provided.
