CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have arrested a man who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 10831 Midlothian Turnpike at about 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9. No one was injured during the incident.
Police said the suspect approached a teller demanding money. No weapon was displayed during the robbery, but the suspect indicated he had a weapon. Upon receiving cash, the suspect fled.
Surveillance images of the suspect were released to the public Wednesday afternoon. After further investigation, detectives identified the suspect as John Allison, 68, of the 700 block of W Sunrise Five Way in Chesterfield. Allison was located and arrested without incident with the assistance of the FBI Richmond Division’s Central Virginia Violent Crimes Task Force. Detectives obtained warrants for Allison for robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Allison is currently being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
