CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police have completed a traffic enforcement operation on Hull Street Road and several connecting roads.
From June 6 through June 11, additional officers patrolled the area, focusing on speeding, reckless driving, red-light running, impaired driving, mobile device use while driving and pedestrian safety. Along with Hull Street Road, officers patrolled connecting roads, including Courthouse Road, Bailey Bridge Road, Old Hundred Road S., Genito Road and others.
During the operation, police stopped a total of 492 vehicles. Police issued 562 summonses for a variety of traffic-related offenses, including speeding, reckless driving, cell phone use while driving, failure to wear a seat belt, driving with a suspended license and driving without a license. Officers also distributed 55 pedestrian safety cards.
As always, police encourage all motorists to buckle up and drive safely and all pedestrians to be visible to drivers, wear reflective clothing, carry a flashlight and cross the roadway in well-lit areas.
