CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA — The draft update to the Chesterfield County Comprehensive Plan is now available for public review and comment through Nov. 12 at www.chesterfield.gov/compplanupdate. The Comprehensive Plan is the county’s growth and development guide.
Over the last several years, county staff and the Planning Commission have worked hard to gather feedback from the community to help update the plan, and it is now ready for public review. The public is encouraged to comment on the draft plan online, and any comments received will be posted on the website and may be incorporated into a revised draft plan.
“As part of the update, several changes have been recommended throughout the plan’s various chapters,” said Steve Haasch, Chesterfield County planning manager. “Now, we want citizen input on these changes before moving forward.”
In addition to providing comment online, citizens can come to one of the many Connect[tober]fest workshops happening throughout October. County Planning staff will be available to answer questions and take comments on the updated plan. Those meetings are scheduled for:
