Chesterfield County’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony, which is sponsored by the Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia (CHSV), was held on Monday, May 30 at the county’s Historic 1917 Courthouse Green on Iron Bridge Road.
Chesterfield residents of all ages attended the free event on a gorgeous late spring afternoon. Fallen soldiers from the county were honored for their service and sacrifice, while representatives of veterans organizations laid wreaths along the Veterans Memorial Wall outside the historic courthouse.
