CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA — TopWorkplaces.com has once again tabbed Chesterfield among its honorees, this time as a Top Workplaces USA National Award honoree.
The county, which was named among the agency’s top five Top Workplaces for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Practices in the fall, was among the Top 100 employers out of over 300 organizations with 2,500+ employees throughout the country.
The Top Workplaces USA National Award, according to the site, celebrates nationally-recognized companies that make the world a better place to work together by prioritizing a people-centered culture and giving employees a voice. The award is based entirely on feedback from an employee engagement survey completed by the employees of participating workplaces
“We are so excited and so honored to receive this recognition,” said Chesterfield County Human Resources Director Mary Martin Selby. “Being chosen among the top 100 organizations of our size says a lot about the unwavering support we’ve received from our Board of Supervisors as well as our county leadership. And as always, it’s the people who make us such a strong workforce. When we say Chesterfield is a First-Choice Community, we know that part of that requires us to be a First-Choice Employer as well. We are so proud of the culture we’ve built and continue to build here in Chesterfield County.”
Top Workplaces uses Energage, an organization that researches employee engagement levels nationwide, to gather information for the award. The surveys capture employee responses anonymously in four culture priorities: Alignment, connection, coaching and performance. The survey also measures employee satisfaction and confidence in leadership.
