CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have identified and charged two juvenile suspects in relation to several incidents of vandalism that occurred in the Chester area this month.
Between Dec. 5, 2021, and Dec. 15, 2021, police and Chesterfield Fire Marshals investigated several incidents in which property was damaged or set on fire in Chester. Vehicles were set on fire and damaged at Allen Tire on W. Hundred Road, property was damaged at Sibley's Bar-B-Q on Winfree Street, vehicles and several trailers were damaged in the area of Chester Muffler & Brake Center on W. Hundred Road, and security cameras were stolen from various locations, in addition to other damage.
On Dec. 17, police received a report that Thomas Dale High School had been broken into and vandalized the night before. Through investigation, officers identified two juvenile male suspects, one age 14 and the other age 15, in that vandalism.
Further investigation revealed that those juvenile male suspects were responsible for the recent acts of vandalism in the area. Officers and fire marshals have requested and obtained several juvenile petitions for the suspects, including breaking and entering, vandalism, possession of burglary tools and arson.
