CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – A suspect has been indicted with felony murder in connection with the death of a child whose remains were recovered at a residence in the 6400 block of Lookout Point Circle on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
On Tuesday, May 4, police received information that the remains of a child may be located at a residence on Lookout Point Circle. An investigation began, and a search warrant for the residence was obtained. In a freezer at the house, detectives located human remains, which were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The OCME has confirmed the recovered remains are those of Eliel Adon Weaver, who was under the age of 5 at the time of his death. The OCME is still working to determine Eliel's cause and manner of death.
Eliel's parents, Kassceen Weaver, 49, and Dina D. Weaver, 48, both of the 6400 block of Lookout Point Circle, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to conceal a body and failing to render aid to a child in relation to this investigation. Kassceen Weaver and Dina Weaver are married. At that time, Kassceen Weaver was also charged with concealment of a body, as well as the domestic assault and malicious wounding of an adult female who is known to him. Both Kassceen Weaver and Dina Weaver were released on bond in relation to those charges.
On Wednesday, Oct. 13, Chesterfield County Police detectives presented the facts of this case to a grand jury and obtained indictments for Kassceen Weaver for felony murder, aggravated malicious wounding and felony child neglect in relation to Eliel's death.
Kassceen Weaver was served with the indictments on Friday, Oct. 15. He is currently being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
