CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA — Looking for something fun to do with your family that includes your four-legged canine? Look no further than “Woof and Wag in #Cfield,” a new resource for dog owners that lists a variety of dog-friendly places around Chesterfield County.
“Woof & Wag in #Cfield” features county dog parks, local pet shops, dog-friendly patios, parks and trails, breweries and wineries and much more. Grab your dog, a leash and go explore all the county has to offer with your furry friend in tow. To see the full list of dog-friendly activities, visit ExperienceChesterfield.com/woof.
If you plan to take your pup out and about, keep these tips in mind:
- Call ahead, because your dog can’t – although places on our list have been confirmed, rules do change so it’s always a good idea to verify
- Leash up – keep your dog on a leash at all times, unless at a dog park, because after all, it’s the law
- Be courteous – take care of our community by cleaning up after your pup and be attentive to your surroundings
Remember, if you are a Chesterfield resident and have a dog, you must have a valid dog license. Lifetime dog licenses are available at Chesterfield’s Treasurer’s Office and are $10.
If you are thinking of adding a new addition to your family and aren’t sure where to start, check out the Chesterfield County Animal Services Facebook Page for adoptable dogs, and other pet resources.
Most importantly, remember to have fun and enjoy spending time with your furry friend while exploring all that Chesterfield has to offer! Stay tuned to our social media pages and don’t forget to tag the county on social media using #WoofWagCfield.
