CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police have obtained warrants for and are seeking an adult male suspect in relation to a shooting that occurred in the 13700 block of Second Branch Road.
At about 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 24, 2018, police responded for a report of an adult female with multiple gunshot wounds. The female, who lived at the residence in the 13700 block of Second Branch Road, was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police have obtained warrants for Joshua M. Federico, 44, for malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in relation to the shooting. Federico, of the 12300 block of Black Road, is the female victim’s estranged husband.
The investigation indicates that Lawrence J. Howell, 38, may also have been injured in the shooting. Howell, who lives at the residence in the 13700 block of Second Branch Road, has not been located and his condition is unknown at this time. Howell is the boyfriend of the female victim.
