Chesterfield County’s annual Fourth of July Celebration, presented by Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation and the Virginia Credit Union, will be held Sunday, July 4 at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds, 10300 Courthouse Road. Gates open at 5 p.m. and fireworks will begin at dark.
This free event features musical entertainment by The Deloreans, a seasoned showband that cover the most memorable artists and nostalgic songs of the 1980s. The performance begins at 6:15 p.m. In addition to live music, numerous food options will be available for purchase.
“People throughout the Richmond region know the July 4th event at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds is not to be missed, and we are excited for it to return this year,” said Virginia Credit Union President/CEO Chris Shockley. “Virginia Credit Union is proud to be the title sponsor for this family-friendly celebration.”
“Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation is excited to collaborate with Virginia Credit Union on one of our most anticipated events of the year,” said Parks and Recreation Director Bob Smet. “While this year will still look a little different than normal, we look forward to being able to celebrate the Fourth of July with the community.”
Crowd capacity inside the fairgrounds will reflect Governor’s orders, including social distancing and mask guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). All event traffic must enter on Krause Road. No glass, alcohol, fireworks, pets, tents, or canopies are allowed. All bags and coolers are subject to search.
Additional sites for viewing fireworks will be available in adjacent parking lots and public portable restrooms will be available.
