CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have arrested a man in relation to multiple larcenies occurring at area grocery stores.
Police said they began investigating a pattern of thefts involving cash and credit cards that were reported by elderly citizens which occurred while they were shopping beginning in March 2021. The suspect targeted senior victims when their purses were left unattended in their shopping cart.
On May 21 police arrested Darnell Mills, 54, for three of the larceny incidents and credit card fraud. Mills is currently being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
