CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department is continuing to investigate a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of West Hundred Road and Jefferson Davis Highway at about 1:10 a.m. on Sunday, August 19th.
Police said a 2002 Jeep Wrangler, operated by Daniel Semitschew, 47, of the 1100 block of Buckingham Station Drive in Midlothian, was travelling east on West Hundred Road. Witnesses say Semitschew disregarded a red light and struck a 2018 Ford Explorer that was already within the intersection. Semitschew was transported to John Randolph Hospital where he died from his injuries. The driver and passenger of the Explorer were transported to Chippenham Hospital for minor injuries. Police continue their investigation into this crash.
