CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have arrested a man that robbed the Shell Station at 2320 Willis Road at about 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018. No one was injured during the incident.
Police said the man entered the business and demanded money and cigarettes. No weapon was displayed. The suspect fled with cash and cigarettes. Police were given the license plate of the suspect vehicle. The vehicle was located in the area. The suspect fled when police tried to stop him.
Police developed information during the initial investigation that led to the identity of the suspect. At around 8:53 p.m., police arrested Daniel M. Fernandez, 34, of Chesterfield County, for robbery and eluding police. He is currently being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
