CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA -- Chesterfield County and Virginia State University (VSU) are celebrating the legacy of the late civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
A panel discussion – “Fly, Run, Walk, Crawl: Moving Forward Toward Social Justice” – highlighting the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18.
Several Chesterfield County representatives will be participating in the event, including Board of Supervisor Chair James Holland (Dale District), Supervisor Kevin Carroll (Matoaca District) and County Administrator Dr. Joe Casey. Additionally, VSU President Dr. Makola M. Abdullah, and other university faculty and alumni, will be seated on the panel being moderated by Mike Street, a radio host with Richmond-based WBTJ-FM’s 106.5 “The Beat" and “Big 98.5.”
