CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office, Substance Abuse Free Environment (SAFE), Chesterfield Emergency Response Team (CERT) and HCA – Chippenham/Johnston-Willis Hospital, will help community members safely dispose of expired and unneeded medications on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The police department will host the Medication Take-Back on Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chesterfield County Police Community Services Building at 2730 Hicks Road. Chesterfield Police officers, Chesterfield Sheriff's deputies and volunteers will be on hand to collect unused or expired prescription, over the counter and veterinary medications. Residents should leave medications in their original containers. Needles, syringes and other "sharps" will not be accepted.
