Chesterfield Announces Early Voting Locations for General Election

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA — In anticipation of high voter turnout, and to provide viable voting options during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Chesterfield County Registrar’s Office is set to launch four satellite voting locations starting Monday, Oct. 19. 

Chesterfield early voting locations are:

North Courthouse Road Library

325 Courthouse Road, North Chesterfield

LaPrade Library

9000 Hull Street Road, North Chesterfield

Meadowdale Library

4301 Meadowdale Blvd, North Chesterfield

Ettrick-Matoaca Library

4501 River Road, South Chesterfield

The Chesterfield Board of Supervisors approved each of the locations during its regularly scheduled Aug. 26 meeting and during a virtual special meeting on Sept. 2.

Each satellite voting location is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 The Meadowdale and North Courthouse Road libraries will be open to the public from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Monday-Thursday and from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday and Saturday. All Library services at LaPrade and Ettrick-Matoaca will not be available and both locations are closed to the public – except for early voting.

Registered voters may also vote early at the General Registrar’s office beginning Friday, Sept. 18. The office, located 9848 Lori Road, Chesterfield, Va. 23832, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; and will be open the two Saturdays (Oct. 24 and Oct. 31) before the election from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

 Early voting ends on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m. 

Voters are requested to wear a mask at each location and adhere to state and federal social distancing measures.

Voters can drop off their voted mail ballots at any satellite voting location or the registrar’s office during voting hours.

Curbside voting will also be available during early voting. Each location will have a curbside voting phone number posted at the site for voters wishing to call and use the service.  

Once you arrive at an early voting location, voters must provide their name and address and show an acceptable form of ID or sign an ID Confirmation Statement. To view a complete list of acceptable IDs, please visit the state Department of Election’s Voting In-Person page.

If acceptable identification is not provided, voters must sign an ID Confirmation Statement or a provisional ballot will be offered. If issued a provisional ballot, voters have until noon Friday, Nov. 6 to provide a copy of acceptable identification to the Chesterfield Electoral Board.
