CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Genito Road in the area of Brandermill Parkway at about 12:54 p.m. on Saturday, August 8.
Police said Kristin Lynn Shelek, 47, of the 4900 block of Jennway Loop in Mosely was driving a 2019 Nissan Kick west on Genito Road when she ran off the road to the right before re-entering the road and crossing into oncoming traffic striking a 2014 Subaru Forester head on. Kristin Lynn Shelek was transported to a local medical center where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Subaru was transported to a local medical facility with non-life threatening injuries.
Police continue their investigation into this crash.
