Travis and Beth have lived in their Chesterfield home for more than 15 years. Health concerns have led to limited mobility for Beth, and over time it has become harder and harder for her to get in and out of the house. On top of this, a damaged roof and an unsealed crawl space were causing their house to be cold and damp in the winter. During this year’s Fall Fix-Up Event, RTR and our valued partners were able to make big changes to their home. Thanks to community block grant funding from Chesterfield County, we were able to hire licensed contractors to replace their roof and weatherize their crawl space. Then, volunteer teems from CoStar and Advansix, we were able to give them new, safer front steps, and a brand new back deck with a wheelchair ramp!
