CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police continue to investigate a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the 16200 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at about 3:38 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019. A driver injured in the crash has died.
On Monday, Dec. 9, a 2000 Ford Econoline E250 van was traveling north on Jefferson Davis Highway when its driver lost control, crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a 2013 Jeep Compass driven by Gail A. Honts, 57. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to area hospitals.
On Feb. 5, 2020, police were notified that Honts, of the 700 block of Cabin Creek Drive in Hopewell, had died on Feb. 3, 2020, as a result of injuries she sustained in the crash.
Police continue their investigation into this crash.
