CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred in the 6500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at about 5:03 p.m. on Monday, December 2.
Police said the driver of a 2001 Honda Accord was traveling south on Jefferson Davis Highway when it struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, where they died as a result of their injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene.
The pedestrian's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Police continue their investigation into this incident.
