CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police are seeking the driver of a vehicle that fled from police in the 21300 block of Chesterfield Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 1.
Police said they observed a 2013 Ford F-150 that was reported stolen from Dinwiddie County travelling on Chesterfield Ave. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, Robert Paul Pickett, 19, failed to stop and entered the City of Petersburg. Officers pursued Pickett to the 600 block of Commerce St where he stopped his vehicle and fled on foot. With the assistance of Petersburg Police, officers apprehended three passengers that also fled from the vehicle. There were no crashes or injuries during this incident.
Pickett, of the 8300 block of Squirrel Level Road in Dinwiddie, is described as a black male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, 155 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He is currently wanted in Chesterfield County for: possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding police, obstruction of justice, and various traffic offenses. Additionally, Pickett has outstanding warrants in Colonial Heights and Dinwiddie County. He is considered armed and should not be approached.
