CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police are investigating an accidental shooting at the Walmart located at 12200 Chattanooga Plaza.
At about 2:16 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, police responded to a report of a shooting at Walmart. On scene, police found that an adult male had accidentally fired a shot in the bathroom of the store. No one was hurt in the shooting.
The male has been identified as Clifford C. Shook Jr. Shook Jr., 66, of the 5200 block of Stratton Road in the City of Richmond, has been charged with one count of reckless handling of a firearm, a class 1 misdemeanor. Shook Jr. was released on a misdemeanor warrant and is scheduled to appear in Chesterfield County General District Court on December 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. for his pre-trial.
