CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield Police have arrested a suspect in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in the 3100 block of Queens Grant Drive during the early morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 3.
At about 9 a.m. on Nov. 3, an adult female went to a local hospital and reported that she was sexually assaulted several hours earlier by a Lyft driver during a ride. Through investigation, detectives identified the driver as Robert W. Sauvager, 51.
On Nov. 6, police arrested Sauvager, of the 1400 block of Williamsburg Road in Richmond, and charged him with aggravated sexual battery and object sexual penetration. He is currently being held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
