CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department continues to investigate a vehicle crash that occurred in the 4500 block of Iron Bridge Road at about 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Police said a black BMW was traveling west on Iron Bridge Road when it left the roadway, overturned multiple times and traveled down an embankment. Two adult male occupants were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
On Monday, Nov. 4, police obtained warrants for the vehicle's driver, Abdul-Malik Lawton, 37, of the 2300 block of Marion Mashore Street in Richmond. The warrants include DUI – 2nd offense with an elevated BAC, DUI maiming and driving on revoked license – 3rd or subsequent offense.
