Tonight's meeting is canceled

The Committee on the Future advises the Board of Supervisors on possible changes in governmental structure, revisions to fiscal and land-use planning and other matters relating to the future provision of services to county citizens. The committee focuses on forecasting comprehensive, long-range conditions in the county; making recommendations for resolution of issues in the long range; and providing information designed to guide elected officials toward a realistic long-range plan for Chesterfield County. The committee also researches issues and prepares recommendations on topics that will likely impact the county's quality of life twenty, thirty or more years ahead.

The Committee on the Future meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the Central Library.
