Chesterfield County is inviting comments on the draft of the Comprehensive Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) (PDF) for the 2021 program year. The report outlines the performance of the county on the administration of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Grant (HOME) funded activities for the period of July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. The final report is required to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) within 90 days following the end of the program year, on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022. Comments must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, to be considered during the formal review of the CAPER. A virtual public meeting will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, at 1 p.m. via Microsoft Teams. The meeting is being held to answer questions and accept feedback on the draft CAPER report. This meeting will also serve as an opportunity for citizens to give feedback on housing and community development needs of the community as we prepare for future use of the funds.
