Celebrate Earth Day by Cleaning Up Chesterfield April 18-24

In celebration of Earth Day 2021 and National Volunteer Week on April 18-24, Chesterfield County invites residents, groups, organizations and businesses to register to volunteer for a COVID-friendly trash clean-up at five locations around the county.
Clean-ups will occur all week, Sunday, April 18 through Saturday, April 24. Individual families or small groups are encouraged to register.
To participate in an Earth Day clean-up event, you must register by contacting Lorne Field, environmental outreach coordinator, at 804-748-1920. The last day to register is Thursday, April 22.
The
Chesterfield County Environmental Engineering and Parks and Recreation
departments will provide pre-registered volunteers with supplies like gloves
and trash bags. Participants can also bring their own supplies. Volunteers can
request to clean-up litter at one of five designated areas:
- Falling Creek Ironworks Park,

- Historic
Point of Rocks, by appointment only
- Dutch Gap
Conservation Area, 341 Henricus Park Road
- River City
Sportsplex, 13030 Genito Road
- Mid-Lothian Mines Park, 13301 N
