Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services is still in operation during COVID-19
Case Management
Case Management services is providing services by telephone or telehealth during COVID-19. If needed, appointments in person may be scheduled with your case manager at the Rogers Building (6801 Lucy Corr Blvd). Existing clients can contact their case manager directly or call 804-748-1227 between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM M-F. If you are not a current client and would like to request services, please contact our Intake office 804-768-7318 between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (Chester House)
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (Chester House) is providing services to existing clients by making frequent telephone contacts between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM during COVID-19. If you do not receive this service and may have interest, contact Chester House at 804-318-8270 and speak to a staff person to see if this might be an option for you at this time. Please leave a message if no one is available when you call and someone will call you back.
Intensive Community Treatment (ICT)
Intensive Community Treatment (ICT) continues to provide services during COVID-19. They are providing telephone, telehealth and in person services between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Existing clients can contact their provider directly or call 804-748-1223.
Serious Mental Illness is defined based on diagnosis, impairment as a result of the diagnosis and duration of illness. This includes:
- Diagnoses typically include those along the:
- Schizophrenia spectrum
- Predominantly thought and psychotic disorders
- Persistent major affective disorders
- Impairment on a recurrent or continuous basis in the ability to:
- Consistently perform practical daily living tasks
- Maintain employment at a living wage
- Consistently carry out household management roles
- Maintain a safe living situation
- Duration of the serious mental illness has been or is anticipated to be of a long duration and includes:
- Hospitalization two or more times
- Extended involvement in outpatient services

Provides guidance navigating the mental health care system to improve quality of life and enhance integration into the community.
Chester House is a psychosocial rehabilitation program with services intended to enable individuals to:
- Form positive social relationships
- Learn about recovery from mental illness
- Access community resources
- Increase self-esteem through a range of successful experiences
Structured Activities
Structured activities include education/skill-building activities addressing:
- Illness management
- Interpersonal relationships
- Life skills
- Socialization
A group of qualified mental health professionals whose mission is to collaborate and assist individuals to live successfully in the community. This intensive service team consists of a:
- Case Manager
- Clinician
- Nurse
- Peer Specialist
- Psychiatrist
- Substance Abuse Specialist
- Supervisor
- Vocational Specialist
