Construction of a new storage building for kayak program in the Dutch Gap Conservation Area. Building will include porta-pottie structure, office and changing room.
Fairground Master Plan
With community input, park improvements will be identified as well as an assessment of park scope of services.
Falling Creek Ironworks
Engineering the move of a historical cottage from Moore's Lake Resort on Route 1. Conduct an archeological survey of creek and surrounding areas. Vistas will be clearing. Considering adding new turf, lighting and irrigation to the field at the park.
Goyne Dog Park
Phase II is an agility course. Phase III is a large run area.
Henricus Historical Park
A new palisade fence will be installed at the front gate between the two guard towers. Multiple structures will be renovated. Dead and dying trees will be removed.
Lowe's Athletic Complex
Grading, stoning and paving remainder of unfinished parking area. Addition of curb and gutter and storm water structures. Addition of handicapped walkways and viewing areas for all fields.
Parking Lot Improvement Plan 2018-19
Complete a study to understand conditions and develop maintenance schedule for all parking lots in Parks and Recreation inventory.

Plans for house renovation and site upgrades.
Radcliffe Conservation Area
Maintenance road improvements and access path.
River City Sportsplex
Finish parking areas and second concession/restroom building.
Robious Landing Park
Design and install 162 feet of floating dock to help support local row clubs and public access to the James River.
Design and construct a trailer/storage system for the floating dock.
Pricing and designing shade structure to replace current ones within Ruff House Dog Park.

Stonebridge Recreation Center
Design sound panels for reduction of noise during events in the building.
Ware Bottom Church Battlefield Park Acquisition
Expansion of the current park will enhance preservation of this site for nationally significant historical interpretation. The new acquisition will add 53 acres to the existing 10-acre park. The future park will provide interpretive trails, passive recreation and an area for parking.
Bicycle and pedestrian facilities are planned along Old Bermuda Hundred Road as part of Chesterfield's Bikeways and Trails Plan
The Chesterfield Planning Department, together with other County departments and Sports Backers, began working on the first Bikeways and Trails Plan in January 2014.
The master plan of this future park would follow guidelines for a special purpose / community park as recommended by the County’s Comprehensive Plan and the Departmental Comprehensive Master Plan.
The new elementary school will be located at the existing Harrowgate Park. Parks and Recreation has created a Conceptual Development Plan to replace park facilities.
The Historic Point of Rocks House (HPORH) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its cultural significance and civil war ties.
Work will begin soon on the first phase of development at Irvin G. Horner Park, located off of Genito Road behind Clover Hill Athletic Complex. This work will include construction of an access road, parking lot, picnic area, paved 10-foot width loop trail, and a new park maintenance facility.
In order to meet the Bikeways and Trails Plan goal of providing a comprehensive bikeway and trail network, a finer scale of planning must be conducted to safely connect existing neighborhoods to the proposed core network.
Design work is underway for a trail system at Mary B. Stratton Park, adjacent to the Richmond Kickers youth soccer complex off of Ridgedale Parkway.
