Be part of a dedicated group of volunteers who support and assist the operations of the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.
To become a volunteer with the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office, a candidate must first complete the volunteer application (PDF). Once this is submitted, a staff member will be in contact regarding additional information needed to complete required background checks.

The hours for these volunteer position are flexible.
Assists with a variety of clerical duties, which includes tasks such as covering the receptionist station, screening and directing phone calls, general computer work, sorting and distributing mail, filing, and copying.
Greets citizens as they enter the courthouses and assists with answering general questions such as docket times, courtroom/office locations, etc.
Picks up and delivers mail within county complex and related tasks as needed. Requires operation of a vehicle.
Assists in the management and issuance of stored agency uniforms, equipment and supplies. Assists with maintaining the Sheriff's Office vehicle fleet.
Monday - Friday
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
