  • You can schedule inspections up to 5 days in advance.
  • To schedule or cancel an inspection for the next business day, perform the task by 8 p.m.
  • For an inspection on Monday, schedule it or cancel it by 8 p.m. Friday.
  • When a holiday occurs, please check our website for the schedule.
  • You can also look up inspection results and retrieve an inspection history by fax. For instructions go to How to Look Up Inspection Results.

Before Calling

Before calling you will need:

  • Customer PIN Number
  • Permit number
  • Touch-Tone phone

You will also need to enter Inspection Codes: Table of Inspection Code Numbers (PDF).

The voice prompt sequence is as follows:

  • Press 1 to schedule an inspection
  • Press 2 to cancel an inspection
  • Press 3 to hear and obtain inspection results
  • Press 6 to obtain a report of inspections
  • Press 0 to transfer to BI Staff, during business hours
  • Press Number to disconnect and hang up
  • Press * to get more information and options at anytime
  • Press 9 to repeat this menu
