Route 10 (Whitepine to Frith) Widening

About

Federal Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) funds will be used to widen Route 10 to 6 lanes between Whitepine Road and Frith Lane. The project will provide an additional eastbound thru lane from Whitepine Road to Courthouse Road and an additional westbound thru lane from Frith Lane to Whitepine Road.  In addition, the project includes improvements (turn lanes, crosswalks, and signal modifications) at Courthouse Road and Lucy Corr Boulevard signalized intersections, and sidewalk along the east side of Route 10 (from Frith Lane to Courthouse Road).

Traffic Impacts

The project is continuing paving operations in both directions, weather permitting. Paving operations will take place at night along Ironbridge Road (Route 10) from Whitepine Road to Frith Lane.

Daytime operations will be limited to those areas currently under construction and not in use. Some traffic delays may occur during the day but kept to a minimum.

Nighttime operations will permit closure of lanes with one lane of traffic in each direction. Detours will be provided for the Route 288 on and off ramps during nighttime operations.

Please watch for message board alerts or call for any questions.
