Resident, Business and Visitor Services

General Services provides residents, businesses and visitors with services such as the Chesterfield County Airport (FCI), Richmond's executive airport, the Chesterfield County Arboretum, managed by the Buildings and Grounds Horticulture Shop, and the Waste and Resource Recovery Division, which administers trash and recycling services for the county. 

Chesterfield County Government Services

General Services provides Chesterfield County Government with services which include: 

  • Capital projects management, including construction, large facility maintenance projects ad renovation. Learn more on the Capital Improvement Program page.
  • Emergency communication system maintenance, including maintenance on the public safety communications system, tower sites, and vehicle-mounted equipment maintenance and installations.

  • Facilities maintenance, including facilities preventative maintenance and facilities repairs.
