A work session on Upper Magnolia Green West 21SN0676 is scheduled to occur at the Tuesday, March 15 Planning Commission meeting.

Revised Proffers for 21SN0675 - Upper Magnolia Green East (PDF) and 21SN0676- Upper Magnolia Green West (PDF) have been submitted by the Economic Development Authority (EDA), as owners of the property. A project update by staff followed by a discussion of the revised proffers is scheduled to occur at the Tuesday, Feb. 15 Planning Commission meeting.

Proffers for 21SN0675 - Upper Magnolia Green East (PDF) and 21SN0676- Upper Magnolia Green West (PDF) have been submitted by the Economic Development Authority (EDA), as owners of the property. Staff recommended changes to these proffers and discussed those changes at the Tuesday, Jan. 18 Planning Commission meeting.

Traffic Study (1991)

In 1991, the approved Comprehensive Plan (as seen in the Upper Swift Creek Plan map) anticipated single family residential (2.0 units/acre or less) within the Magnolia Green property and surrounding areas, which would include Fox Croft, Fox Fire, Hampton Park, Harper’s Mill, Summer Lake, Westerleigh and Wynwood. The transportation model would have been based on a majority single family use in this area at that time.

Additional Resources

The Board of Supervisors officially voted at their regular public meeting on Sept. 22, 2021 to initiate a rezoning request for approximately 1,850 acres of land owned and controlled by the Economic Development Authority. On Oct. 27, 2021, the Board of Supervisors initiated an application to rezone an additional 589 acres contiguous to the first application initiation. Planning department staff entered all the required application information into the ELM electronic application system. That information can be found in this section.
