Route 60, Village of Midlothian, Corridor Study

About

A study is underway to identify improvements along Route 60 consistent with the vision and goals of the Midlothian Special Area Plan. The study will include development of conceptual sketches, cost estimates and public involvement materials.

The Chesterfield County Department of Transportation sought input from citizens on the Route 60, Village of Midlothian, Corridor Improvement Study, which identifies improvements consistent with the vision and goals of the Midlothian Special Area Plan adopted in 2019. The Route 60, Village of Midlothian, Corridor Improvement Study project website  outlined the tentative schedule, provided an overview of the study, proposed improvements, conceptual sketches, and a place for citizens to submit their feedback.

The county accepted feedback through Friday, April 28, 2023, from individuals who live, work, play, and/or receive services along the Route 60 corridor. The feedback received will help the county determine how to meet transportation needs in that area. A summary of the feedback is expected to be available for review in fall of 2023 and will be posted to the project page.

Study Timeline

The study is underway and anticipated to be complete in the winter of 2023/2024.
