Requesting a Pre-Application Meeting for Zoning Action
Pre-Application Meeting Process
The pre-application meeting is part of Chesterfield County’s zoning process and is an opportunity for an applicant to discuss and gather feedback from county staff about a potential zoning application. The county hopes that by holding a pre-application meeting with an applicant that the application would be more complete at the time of official submittal. These meetings are opportunities for the applicant and county staff to ask questions, conduct further research, and determine what additional information may be needed in order to file a more complete application.
Anyone seeking to file a zoning application.
There is no fee for this process.
From the time the Pre-Application Meeting Request Form is submitted, you should hear from county staff within three (3) business days as to the date of your pre-application meeting. Pre-application meetings are generally scheduled 2-3 weeks after a confirmed pre-application meeting request has been received.
