COVID-19 Vaccine Information

The Chesterfield Health District (CHD) is a division of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). The CHD is comprised of the counties of Chesterfield and Powhatan and the city of Colonial Heights. VDH distributes COVID-19 vaccines to local health districts, such as CHD, which then administer the vaccine to eligible individuals within the health district, according to phases set by VDH. Central Virginia COVID-19 Response Fund

The Central Virginia COVID-19 Response Fund will be administered as a public-private partnership between philanthropy, government and the nonprofit sector to address the most immediate urgent needs, as well as the longer-term effects of the pandemic and community recovery. American Red Cross - Call for Blood Donation

The American Red Cross has a critical need for blood due to an unprecedented number of blood drive cancellations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Donating blood is a safe process and people should not hesitate to give or receive blood. If you have recovered from COVID-19, the plasma from your blood donation could help treat patients currently fighting the virus. Help end the convalescent plasma shortage – give blood! Schedule an appointment to donate blood with the American Red Cross.
