Woolridge Road Extension - 288 to Old Hundred Road

State and local revenue sharing funds and CVTA funds have been obtained to extend Woolridge Road from Route 288 to Old Hundred Road to improve the local road network. 

Chesterfield County continues to engage the public during the development of this project. View the county's willingness to hold a public hearing (PDF) for a proposed adjustment of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) point of limited access at the Route 288 and Woolridge Road interchange. Traffic Impacts

A short 14-day closure of the existing Woolridge Road at the intersection with Old Hundred Road is anticipated during construction. Old Hundred Road (east-west) will continue to stay open to traffic at all times.

Project Timeline

Design is underway. Right-of-way phase is anticipated to begin August 2023. Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2024. Prior to construction the selected road contractor will hold a public "Pardon our Dust" meeting to discuss their detailed construction schedule. Notification of this meeting will be provided to previous Public Hearing attendees and on this project web page.
