Jefferson Davis Corridor

The Jefferson Davis Highway Corridor reflects Chesterfield County’s diversity with its unique blend of housing, history, and small businesses.  It stretches approximately 13 miles, from the County’s northern border with the City of Richmond all the way to its southern border with Colonial Heights. Jefferson Davis Highway Corridor is also Chesterfield’s most internationally diverse corridor.

Bensley Park Improvements

  • Improvements include paving and field renovations

Dutch Gap Conservation Park Improvements 

  • Construction of a new storage building for the kayak program
  • Porta-pottie structure
  • Office and changing room

Henricus Historical Park Improvements

  • Reconstruction of palisade fencing between guard towers at the front gate

Falling Creek Ironworks Improvements

  • Engineering the move of a historical cottage from Moore's Lake Resort on Route 1
  • Conduct an archeological survey of creek and surrounding areas
  • Vistas will be cleared
  • New turf, lighting and irrigation to the park field (in consideration)

Rt 1 Bike and Pedestrian Improvements - Marina Drive to Eilliham Avenue

  • Preliminary plans are being developed to construct bike and pedestrian improvements along northbound Route 1 from Marina Drive to Elliham Avenue
