Community Clean Sweep Events

 Ready to HELP get your neighborhood cleaned up?  Here's how....

Community Enhancement has partnered with several agencies to Keep Chesterfield Beautiful.  We will be in several neighborhoods this year doing Community bulky waste clean ups, brush removal as well as Code Enforcement. 

Below is a list of items that will and will not be accepted.  Your help in these events are greatly needed and appreciated.

All items will need to be placed at the curb the day before the Community Clean Sweep. Volunteers are needed and appreciated on every cleanup in your neighborhood.  

Each event will begin at 8 a.m.


  • Furniture (includes mattresses, box spring, sofas, chairs
  • Lawn furniture
  • Tables, cabinets, vanities
  • Small appliances and microwaves
  • Rims
  • BBQ grills (no propane tanks or ashes)
  • Toys and bicycles
  • Wheelbarrows without tires
  • Fish tanks - bagged
  • Barrels - with lids off
  • Lawnmower parts (oil and gas must be drained)
  • Carpet and padding **
  • Books, clothing, knick-knacks
  • Dishes, pots, pans
  • Bagged leaves

** Bundled into rolls less than 6' long and 1' in diameter - MAXIMUM of one 11' x 11' room per pickup.


  • Tree stumps, logs, firewood
  • Refrigerators, freezers
  • A/C units and other refrigeration equipment
  • Hazardous household waste (paints, stains, pesticides, etc)
  • Bricks, tiles, concrete products
  • Rocks, stone, slate, granite, quartz, etc
  • Construction debris, drywall, cement board
  • Shingles and insulation
  • Tires (on or off the rim)
  • Ashes, batteries, railroad ties
  • Pianos
  • Gas tanks or cans
  • Pool tables, air hockey tables
  • Floor model copiers and printers
  • TV's, computer monitors
  • Fluorescent bulbs or tubes
  • Pet waste
  • Riding/Push lawnmowers
