- Chesterfield County Mental Health Support Services
Prevention Services helps to strengthen youths and families by providing consultation, classes or public speaking and group services to individuals, families, agencies, schools, community groups and coalitions.
Prevention Services has considerable expertise on topics such as parenting, divorce adjustment and stress management. Parenting classes are evidence-based with set curricula and are usually 6 to 8 sessions. To assist parents with individual concerns about their child, Prevention Services offers one to three free consultations with a professional parenting and child/adolescent development specialist.
